What is exactly the second kick in butterfly?

I'm learning to swim butterfly but i've difficulties with the dolphin kick%3A i'm very slow. I've heard that using a second kick enables to swim faster. However, does this second kick go from the hips or from the knees? I mean, is that like a second full undulation? Thanks in advance for your answer.

Does swimming and mountain climbing in contrary with each other?

Does swimming and mountain climbind in contrary with each other? i do both and even some workouts on my stomach to reduce its fat but the lifeguard said you can't make progress in your swimming this way. those sports made youre body hard while swim needs a soft body. i want to know how true is it? and Shoud I stop these? he said my muscles aren't relaxed in water (swim likes a robot) .or maybe the problem is something else?

Teaching fly to a junior swimmer?

My son is 8 years old and is okay at all strokes apart from fly. His lessons have taken so far and his teachers do not teach fly. I'm currently looking for a Club for him at the moment, but in the mean time how can I help him learn fly. I'm a former swim teacher but have not practiced in over 10 years - are there any resources I should look into that might help me to teach fly?

If I want to swim on my lactate breakpoint (without measuring it scientifically) what percent of my personal best do I have to swim with? Is it possible to determine this mathematically?

are there any drills that help improve my recovery on butterfly?

I watched myself swim and i saw that when i swim my arms fly up high and that causes my head to go above the surface higher, i watched michael phelps swim underwater and i saw that his arms sweep out at the end of his pull which is one reason he recovers better, it's easier said than done and it's not easy to practice recovering lower to the water in butterfly
