Level 1 - Lesson 2: Backstroke (water confidence)
Children love to have fun and learning to swim shouldn't be any different. That's why this session has been developed to not only cover the key skills your children will need to learn to swim, but also to discover new ways of delivering this information.
What are we working on in this Session?
Many non swimmers are afraid to swim on their back - others take to it very easily. This session covers confidence in the water and basic body position, providing your swimmers with the first steps they'll need for learning to swim on their back.
- Introduce swimmers to kicking on the back using an alternate freestyle leg-kick
- Introduce the 'push-and-glide' technique on the back
- More repetition and questions about the key points to check they're paying attention!
