I have a group of girls 11/12 who have never had a coach and are improving in leaps and bounds each week. My problem is, they don't seem to be able to last the whole game fitness wise. Can you suggest any fitness drills for a group of lazy girls who do not enjoy the fitness aspect of the training session...(some of them walk their warm-ups). The majority of them are in high school and have that dreadful "i'm good" attitude. Any suggestions graetly appreciated
have you tried splitting your girls up and putting them into teams of three or four and doing relay challenges so they are working against each other we do this using ladders cones and spots shuttle runs and different foot pattens with a ball and with out.the winners then choose a forfit for the team who came in last such as press ups or burpees or star jumps and the girls can be quite cruel with the punishment the girls will work against each other as they want to set the forfits. you can set the girls in teams and use a leader board each week to see who's out in the lead and who is comming up they soon get really competitive with each other.
in more ways than one

No more 50/50 toss-ups. When simultaneous infringements occur, possession now goes to the team that last had the ball. Here's what it means for your coaching.
