Roll dodge:

For the first few run throughs blue 1 is a static defender.

White 1 steps across the defender with their right foot, pivoting on the left and then rolls around the back of blue 1 (turning her back) to receive the ball from X.

Three man weave:

3 players 1 ball

start – together on back line run in opposite figure of 8 up court as below. Ensure timing is good so wait until player is in middle to receive straight line ball

Group practices

Running the gauntlet (no ball):

In a designated area, using lines or cones, the white team must attempt to dodge past each defending player.

Defending players can only use sideways movements in order to prevent this.

Getting free

Run ahead:

Set up 2 lines of cones of, with 5m across between each cone and line.

Players with the ball start on the right channel and the players without the ball in the left.

Player without the ball runs ahead to the cone just in front of the cone the player cuts to the other line to receive the ball.

On receiving the ball the 2nd player in the left channel starts to run and cut to receive the ball from this player. etc last player receiving the ball walks it back to the start.
