This is an all-inclusive way to cover ball kicekd behind your team, and effectively organise ALL players to maximise your kick-return options. SETUP: Ball is kicked to back 3, all other players in front of these Back 3 work together to initially run to opposite side of pitch from chasers Other backs work hard to get back into attack line Meanwhile, forwards work towards two or three mini-pods midway between where they were and where the receiver is. The kick return runners should be able to link up with one or mor of the pods and create a meaningful counter-attack that commits defenders.
Back 3 under the ball - catch the ball before anything else! All players work hard to retreat either into the line or into pods Use posds to generate quick rucks / offside lines very quickly
