Task 1 Scenario- Pirates have invaided the Royal Navy Institution and stollen their treasure. The Royal Navy must retrieve the treasure back to where it belongs. Watch out for the monster!! Aim- Participants (The Royal Navy) "hop" from island to island to retirieve the treasure (beanie bags) from the fellow participants (The Pirates). Each piece of treasure is worth 1 point. If the Pirate catches a member of the Royal Navy they are no longer active in the practice. If the monster (The Coach) invaids an island you must escape the island as soon as possible. Key Words- Teamwork, defending and dodging skills, decision making, game play. Progession- Hockey Basics Aim- The practice will run along the same principle but instead of using beanie bags as treasure, hockey balls will be used and participants will use their hockey sticks to dribble/ use basic hockey skills to collect treasure back from the Pirate Island. Pirates can take back treasure, introducing a basic defending and attacking hockey rule. If the Pirate successfully interceps treasure from The Royal Navy, that participant will then join the Pirates and eventually one person will win. The monster can still be introduced into this game also but only if practice needs to be influenced. Key Words- Teamwork, attacking and defending, decision making, fun.
