Spencer Lee Coach, United Kingdom

DESCRIPTION

On offense, whoever does not shoot the ball will crash the boards while the shooter rotates to the top for a 2nd 3pt attempt after "sighting themselves in."

COACHING POINTS

Whenever we take a 3pt shot, the other 4 players should crash the boards and fight for the rebound. However, a 3pt attempt will miss longer than a shorter shot, so our rebounders should try to seal the defenders as close to the paint as possible by "Boxing in." Then, they can gain an advantage to track down the long miss. After the shooter takes a shot, they should rotate to the top of the key every time. If one of our players grabs the rebound, they can immediately look to the top of the key to find the shooter again; they will ALWAYS know where the shooter is. NOTE: For shorter shots like layups and running floaters, our crashers should get much closer than this to get an easy putback.
