At the middle school level, the inbounder will need to telegraph this pass, either by stepping toward their target on an overhead throw or by pointing their shoulder toward their target for a baseball throw. Our deep defender should try to get as much practice as possible reacting to the shoulder to make a play on the ball and get the ball back for our fast break. The inbounder will throw a pass to one of the deep players; our deep defender will watch the inbounder's body language and try to intercept or at least deflect the pass.
