Building the confidence in the players ability to catch a high ball under pressure.
1. Get players into groups of 3 with a ball.
2. Get them all moving around in the grid or area you want.
3. Within the group of 3 one calls for it and the person with the ball throws it in the air.
4. That player who called for it then runs and jumps to catch it and so on and so on.
Development of Drill
Make sure before you develop the drill everyone has the correct technique and understands you can not touch someone whilst in the air.
- The player who is free runs and puts pressure on the catcher as soon as they land.
-To increase pressure make both players run and jump to catch the ball.
