Use a tackle bag to simulate tackled player. Ball on one side with a defending player on the opposite side leaning over with hands on the ball. Attacking player to clear out using aeroplane arms method. Arms across forearms of defender and head low and drive defender back off the ball and stabilise using tackle bag for support without going off feet. Next attacking player then comes in and makes a pass, this player has to pass, you cannot pick and go.
Points to remember
1. Head low and arms out like an aeroplane, use arms across forearms of defender.
2. Support your own body weight on the tackled player (tackle bag).
3. Next player in must make a pass and not pick and go.
This develops into the defender making the tackle and rolling away and next defender coming in to contest the ball, to clear out so scrum half can make the pass.
