Parry, U15 boys Hockey Coach

DESCRIPTION

Green - First Runner

Yellow  - Second Runner

Red - Left Post

Blue - Right post or Head runner

COACHING POINTS

Green 

  • Make a direct run to the trapper
  • Keep stick in front of you 
  • Do not over run

Yellow

  • Make direct run on same line as Green.
  • Keep stick in front of you
  • Be alert for variations 

Red

  • Mark line of post prior to PC taking place
  • Take two steps out, ensuring you stay behind the GK
  • Your Left foot should be on the marked line.
  • Anything outside your left foot you can let go

Blue

  • Move forward to a postion infront of GK, outside the right post
  • Looking to stop any runners wanting to deflect from in front of you 
  • And stopping the ball back to the injector
  • Rebounds are yours

GK

  • Offset your postion, you should only need to cover 3/4 of the goal
  • Take 3 steps towards the trapper
  • Ensure you are still and in a set postion prior to hit/dragflick
  • Look to log if team will be hitting.

Once the first option has been stopped by team all players are to play just as if it was normal situation in the circle.
