This game is developed to improve the power of players' hitting. Players in this practice are only allowed hit the ball because of the distance. A point is scored when the ball rolls beyond the cones.
For safety reasons no players are allowed inside the grid (red zone).
Lots of balls required. Play until all the balls are beyond the cones - the winning side is the one who managed to shoot the most balls past the other team. (5 minutes, before moving on to the next progression)
- Players should be looking to hit the ball into the space so the opposition can't stop it. Any player that goes in the red zone will have to sit out as they are risking their safety. Players will have to hit the ball hard enough to get it threw the zone as well as off the back line. First round should be drives hits only and the second round should be clip hits only. If a ball gets stuck in the middle even the coach can't go and get it, as they risk being injured as well.
1.) Players can slap or push the ball to the next section or in their own section. However, if they are able to crash the ball threw the middle section then all the points they have scored double (if they haven't scored any they get 10 points). 1 point for scoring in the normal goal. They could hit the ball either forwards or backwards, as sometimes you have to back to then go forwards to get the double points. Encourage the players in the middle to drift inwards to create the gap down the line for the high forward to lead and receive the ball. If the players hit the ball in a controlled manor across the middle section into space then still give them the points.
