Parry, U15 boys Hockey Coach

DESCRIPTION

Fall away Press for BOTH teams.

*Helps obtain possession of the ball

* Try to force the defence towards sideline- coming through the middle is a no-no.

*When the ball is passed to one side of the field from the defence, in our attacking press, we want to stand a few metres in front of defending players into key spaces where we do not want the ball to feed through. It is our job to pick up the interceptions.

* Once the ball has moved we drop back onto the defending player behind us, we must be really close together- almost touching them. The ball will have no where to be passed after this, causing pressure on the current ball carrier.

*Which ever side the ball is passed to we all must migrate as a team. We also want to position ourselves on goalside to the opposition.

*Wings- it is your duty to run to the half, whichever side it is passed on
