Key coaching goal is to shift the mindset and remove the "fear".
1. Hitting forward into a press is more dangerous with worse consequences if intercepted.
2. You have more time and space than it feels like. We regularly train in games half the size with twice the number of opponents.
3. Wherever you receive the ball, there should always be at least 1 of two passing options open to you. just about picking the correct one.
4. It's up to you to support your team-mate and always offer a pass back. Not just passing the responsibility on to someone else!
5. The more we eliminate the press by playing around it - the wider it will set and the more they will back off. We will then have more time to make good decisions.
Create a resolution to develop your coaching confidence by seizing the opportunity to discover new drills, turn ideas into action and seek advice from the coaching community.
