Contest for every ball and cause a turnover with this session by focussing on both defensive and attacking breakdowns. Work on the jackal and bounce in defence and attack at break down with the smash and crocodile roll.

  • Groups of 3 
  • Ball

One Player lies in a Long placement on the floor. 

Another player (Jackaler) comes over the top of the player, to compete for ball. 

Another player pushes, pulls and tries to make the player off balance. 

Coaching points

  • The Jackler - must be supporing own body weight. 
  • Sink From Hips for stability (no arching backs) 
  • Strong core. 
  • Stable base. 
  • Aim for the ball so if cleared out can take ball with you.
