1. 2 yellow players and 2 blue players LIE FACING AWAY FROM EACH OTHER. 2. Coach throws a ball into the rectangular box to create a 2v2. Need to dribble the ball across opposite line to qualify. 3. Pair that wins 2v2 qualifies their team to attack towards main goal. Create a 7v5. 3. Pair that lost 2v2 CANNOT attack. Sits out for the rest of the drill. Their team becomes defenders.
1. Explain clearly that the team that wins the 2v2 then attacks. Losing 2v2 team becomes outnumbered defending team (7v5). 2. May need to adjust pair amounts depending on group numbers. Drill always begin with a 2v2 but may become a 5v3 etc. (only 3 pairs waiting instead of 5 if low numbers).
