Community | Channelling using the wings

lucy evans Player, England

DESCRIPTION

in this drill the central attacker acts as a 'pivot', as the ball must be played between the wings. Both the RW and LW must stay in their channels (marked by red boxes), unti they reach the D, where all of the attackers and defenders must play until a goal has been scored or the ball is forced out of bounds. This drill recreates a game scenario and allows players to develop under pressure, and most importantly encourages them to use the wings. Red = attackers (movement) Blue = defenders (movement) solid black line = pass Red boxes = coned off channels
