Half pitch setup.
Inside 23m: 3 defenders + 2 attackers
Outside 23m: 2 attackers with ball.
Players stay in their zones until the ball crosses the 23m line with a pass. Then full area is live to all players.
Variant 1: Attacking team must still keep 2 players outside 23m but they can swap which players are there.
Variant 2: Live game can start with a carry as well as a pass.
Key Points
- Patient build up: move the ball left and right with player movement in front of the ball until an opening presents itself.
- Look to create 2v1s with "3rd man" combinations.
Variant 1: more dynamic movement from front to back
Variant 2: Unselfish runs to create space for team mates to carry.
