Ball always enters play from the same end. Each phase continues until a goal is scored or game declared dead.
Coach dictates at each phase the number of attacking and defending players that are entering the game.
E.g. Coach calls "THREE VS TWO" so 3 attackers start with the ball and 2 defenders enter from their end.
Call attacking overloads and underloads. Increase to larger numbers or throw in a smaller 1v2.
Keep it high tempo - players rolling on and off as soon as the play is over. Should be a good fitness exercise if we can keep the pace high.
- Game creates a randomness to the play and encourages players to problem solve on the fly.
- Lots of opportunities for players to carry quickly into space and looks to create overloads. Or they may be underloaded and need to be more cautious with their passes.
