Channelling Drill

Channelling on Goal

Goal Scoring Drill

COACHING POINTS

Channelling Drill:

  • Focusing on channelling technique
  • Angles of pressure
  • How to force attackers wide
  • Body positioning in channelling

Channelling on Goal:

  • 2 vs 1
  • Focusing on being able to channel a defender onto another defenders strong stick side
  • Strong flat tackles
  • Positioning in relation to the attacker 
  • Closing angles to ensure a tight defensive unit

Goal Scoring Drill:

Yellow: Deflection

Red: Back Space / Squeeze 

Green: Off the volley forehand /                       Upright reverse on volley

Blue: Reverse
