Exercise 1 - Push passing
Here the children will pass the ball between each other with a push passing, it is important they push the ball in the forehand and focus on making a solid contact instead of just rolling it to the next person. If this is too easy then they should be doing 1-touch passing.
Exercise 2 - Passing on the move
Two children will start with a ball, they will drive around the cone in the middle and pass to the side at the same time, after this, they will walk straight ahead to the other side = Pass to the left walk straight forwards.
Exercise 3 - Sweeping "flats"
Here a simple exercise where the focus is sweeping the ball to each other. Many children at this age find it very hard to make good contact with the ball. The main focus is that they sweep the ball and make contact in the middle of their stick instead of the end of it.
Exercise 4 - Lift passing
With a rope (or something else) in the middle, the children will learn lift passing over the obstacle in the middle. It is important that when performing a lift pass the children do not roll the ball backwards first.
Exercise 5 - Passing and moving
Here there will be one child at each cone and the rest waiting at the start, they will pass the ball with a push pass and then rotate behind their ball. If this is working well enough then try it with two balls.
