Core 1: trapping ball left and right

DESCRIPTION

Goal: 
* repeat trap ball from right
* NEW trap ball from left

Exercise

first put cones to break tennis court in 2 halfs length. Also goal on each side 
* 4 pp work on half tenniscourt
* A plays ball to B.
* B receives ball from right with  feet forward + dribbles to goal. In goal he pulls back and plays ball to A again.
* After B plays ball back to A, he quickly runs into the quarter to defend line C.
* A receives ball from left and tries to score by dribbling over line C (B defends).
* if B gets ball, he plays to player C

* At the end a small game: if defender gets ball and plays to C he gets 1 point. If A scores by dribbling over line C he gets point. Who got most points?  

COACHING POINTS

New: receiving ball from left

* Feet towards attacking goal
* Left ball roll to your help side = past your right foot
* follow ball with your stick but ONLY trap ball when it's on dribbling position. 

 

Receiving ball from right

* feet forward towards attacking goal/ cones
* Trap ball at right foot
* Left hand away from body to ankle stick to trap
* when trapping ball already bring ball towards goal. 

NB pull back is nothing more than pulling ball from front foot to back foot and then turn
