Dribble with Clip hit competition

DESCRIPTION

  • Players are in two groups
  • Dribble around cones and get feet around ball (orange)
  • Clip hit to the next person who continues to dribble (whites)
  • Repeat above
  • Second receiver has to receive ball and accelerate around the straight line dribble cones (blue cones)
  • Make it competitive and challenge groups against each other.
    • Two required on the course to receive the pass
    • The next person can’t start until the first person receives the pass
    • Everyone required to do everything

COACHING POINTS

  1. RIGHT HAND HAS TO BE LOW TO BE ABLE TO WIN!!
  2. Clip hit has to be used to pass the ball
    1. There is a resistance to use this at the moment
  3. Ensure feet and ball go around the cones
  4. Ball has to go around the cone first, turning bottom hand, to change the direction of the ball
  5. Slow down when changing direction
