DESCRIPTION

attacker and defender start with 1v1 in first box. Attacker can pass to other boxes with attacker in it after they have had a few 1v1 with defender. This drill is about defenders recovery and closing down

COACHING POINTS

  • Recovery defence - getting back under the ball
  • Tackle but not be eleminated - delay and infulence the play
  • running to close and dropping to get under
  • keeping stick down in passing lanes
  • feet under hips for defenders
