Players work in groups of six, with 1 ball per group and set up in the following way:
4 attackers vs 1 defender (between the first cones) and another defender between the second set of cones.
Defenders can only move sideways in an attempt to stop the attackers getting through the area.
Once the attackers get through the first channel they turn the corner and realign, ready to attack the next channel.
The defenders slide across ready to repeat the drill.

Lower tackle heights leave the ball free for longer and change the breakdown contest. If your ruck work has not been updated this pre-season, you are coaching last season's game.
Long, lonely runs build lungs, not rugby players. Here's how to build a pre-season that puts fitness where the game needs it - with a ball in hand and a decision to make.
