
DRILL TYPE: Sending and Receiving ( Partner Drills) FOCUS: Groundstrokes Progressions EQUIPMENT: (8) Youth Racquets (8) Red/ Foam Balls (16) Quick Feet Donuts ( 8 green, 8 red) SETUP: Have the players par-up with a partner, have them stand and face each other about 4 to 5 feet apart on the donuts. One player has a ball and the other player has a racquet. MISSION: One player is the sender ( with the ball) the other player ( the receiver) with the racquet. The sender will roll the ball to the receiver, make sure the receiver is sideways to target. After three the players swap roles. Each players will perform the following skills: Roll and Trap the ball on the ground. Roll, Trap and Return the ball on the ground. Toss, Hit and Catch the Ball.
Keep the ball under control with the racquet. Keep your knees bent and back straight.
