DRILL TYPE: Racquet Skills FOCUS: Backhand Groundstrokes Progressions EQUIPMENT: Number Poly Spots (1) Youth Racquet ( 1) Basket of Red/Foam Balls SETUP: On the opposite side of the court, place the number poly spots on the court ( see diagram). The coach is on opposite side of the net with a basket of balls. MISSION: Form one line with the players behind the baseline. The coach tosses the one ball underhand to the first player. The player attempts to hit the ball over the net, into the court. The court is divided into three different hitting zones. First team to twenty one wins. 1 Point- for a ball that lands in the service box. 2 Points- a ball that lands in the backcourt. 3 Points- a ball that lands in the alley
