DESCRIPTION

The defender is in a bear crawl position Attacker starts three yards opposite and slowly moves side to side.The defender must mirror in bear crawl position and attacker picks up ball and runs to a side of defender who makes low tackle.

COACHING POINTS

Defender must keep a strong back in the bear crawl position Once attacker picks up the ball the defender stays low and drives the shoulder into the thighs of the defender Defender wraps both arms around the legs, squeeze tight to make a 'ring of steel'
