This is a decision making drill for the ball carrier.
3 v 1 The drill starts with D1 passing to A1. A1 moves forward and decides which passing option will be the best to beat the defender. If the defender runs tight at A1 then A1 can use a miss pass out wide to A3 or run a Gregan/reverse pass with A2. If the defender runs a slide defense then A1 can run a pull back/blocker pass to A3 or A1 and A2 can run together to allow for a cut back pass to A3. This drill requires good communication between all the attacking players to be successful.
