Review: coaching points of block tackle from last week!
Set-up:
- For numbers game, set up a field with two goals at either end
- Set up teams on opposite sideline of field, and number each player on each team 1-5
- Designate each team the goal that is to the left of them
Note: by designating the goal to the left of them it will set them up to approach the ball from the strong side after they run around their goal (see below)
Execution:
- Coach passes a ball into the field, and you call out a number.
- Player of that number on each team must run around the back of their goal and then run to play the ball and a 1vs1
- Players not called cheer their teammate on.
- If you call out another number, players leave ball where it is, run back to side line and the number called out runs around their goal and out to play 1 v 1.
Extension: Call more than 1 number at a time
