The 'Possession' team (b) play the ball from box to box through the channel against the 'Pressing' team (r) who are aiming to intercept and disposses. The Pressing team cannot enter the end zones.
Switch defender, and person in the middle after 60 seconds.
Progression: add a second player to the 'Pressing' team to make the exercise a 3v2.
Posession team: Ball pace and accuracy, movement to open channel and lose defenders, using first touch to open space to eliminate defenders.
Pressing team: Covering passing lanes, body positioning to view as much play as possible, applying pressure without comitting/diving in.
