4v4 getting corners - Here Thijs will put down balls and the attacking team will have to start from here (everything inside) the attacking team will do their best to get a corner, the defending team have to get the ball and clear it away from the circle to the sides. To get the girls thinking about earning corners every corner earned will be a "strafbal".
(Thijs: In order to make it easier for the girls get them trying small lifts and soft movements instead of pushing hard towards the feet like they normally do).
Running the press - here the girls will play a 3v3, the right forward will pass the ball then instantly put pressure on the player with the ball, this player will pass to the middle and then the "spits" will put pressure on the ball squeezing it to the side and this is where they will play a 2v1, the player on the outside from the building team (blue) will try and reach the 23" line in a 1v2. If the pressing team get the ball they will play a 3v3 towards the goal.
(When running towards the ball think about where it is going to go, stick close to the ground especially the backhand)
This exercise will be done on both sides.
