Goal Scoring Skills circuit

DESCRIPTION

Individual scoring circuit utilizing various elimination skills entering the circle

COACHING POINTS

Focus on performing each skill correctly and getting each technique right.

  1. Player dribbles through cones and when engaging defender arc's strong keeping ball away from the feet and taking a shot at back post
  2. Player makes use of 3D skills to enter circle and shooting at goal. Maintaining ball control is crucial. Focus on ball carrying technique
  3. Player looks to change angle of attack using aerial skill and then eliminates player (gutter) on either side using aerial skill. Maintain control of ball. 
  4. player looks to change angle of attack by making use of the V-PULL and then attacks the circle. Drastic change of direction and change of pace must be emphasized!
  5. Baseline run and then freeing space up by turning infield and shooting on the reverse. 

In each of the sections, focus on ball carrying technique, ball out in front, stick on ball to protect ball and head up to see on coming defenders and potential passing opportunities. Match tempo is key but do not rush until you have confidence in the skill.
