An attacker on one side will make a pass to attacker near top of circle (within cone barrier). Once A receives the ball, they will dribble at speed along the cones to baseline (path along circle)- meanwhile, a defender will mirror them and channel them to baseline, attemptime to push them sideline and out of the cirlce.Play has ended once the ball is out of bounds, D wins and clears ball, or a goal is scored. Alternate sides. Can also incorporate more numbers in the drill.
D needs to correctly time and anticipate attacker's speed and direction to baseline in order to not get beat on their inside or outside. Goal for D is to stop A on baseline. Focus on foot positioning. A can focus on pulls to cut their D on the inside to goal.
