Jump rope coordination drill: This warm up exercise is a great tool for preparing players for the practice, while developing coordination and balance skills.
Ask the players to skip, using a rope, along the lines of the tennis court. When they reach a cross point they should change the leg they are hopping on, eg right foot along the tramline then left foot along the service line.
Being able to perform different movements stood on one leg is a skill that will pay off when it comes to playing in matches.
