
DRILL TYPE: Racquet Skills FOCUS: Sending and Receiving EQUIPMENT: (4) 18â Small Nets (4) Foam Balls (8) Poly Spots ( 4 green, 4 red) (4) Youth Racquets (4) Cones SETUP: Setup the 18â small nets on the court in the center ( see diagram). Setup the four cones to divide the courts on the service line. Setup the eight poly spots in the service boxes and the backcourts ( see diagram). One spot will have a ball on it, on the opposite side of the net will have the racquets. Use one ball, one racquet per line. MISSION: One player is the ( tosser) and the other player is the ( hitter), both are on opposite side of the net, on the spots. The players will perform the following sending and receiving skills, after 3 hit or catch switch roles. The Sending and Receiving Skills: Have the player ( hitter) get sideways to target with the racquet at contact position.
