
DRILL TYPE: Racquet Skills FOCUS: Groundstrokes Progressions EQUIPMENT: Racquets Red/ Foam Balls SETUP: Players are lined up behind the doubles sideline facing the coach. The coach on on the same side of the players in the Duce service box with a basket of balls. MISSION: The coach tosses one ball into the air and the first player in line tries to hit the ball over the net. The ball can bounce many times and the player can do anything to get it over the net. The player returns to the end of the line and awaits their turn. The coach tosses one ball to each player in line until everyone has a chance at one ball. The number of balls the coach tosses keeps increasing. When the player gets to the front of the line they tell the coach what level they are at. Objective: Get the highest level ( 6 balls is the record).
