This is an easy drill that will have the players having a lot of the ball in their hands and getting to grips with passing. The two players facing each other will pass the ball between them. When I shout outside change the two outside people from that row will pass the ball to the middle men then they will swap to be on the opposite side of the cones. If I shout inside change, then the players on the inside with their back to each other will pass the ball to the outside player and swap with the other person on the inside. As it goes on you can progress it by having more instructions which will test their concentration and focus. Other instructions being - score a try, this is when the person with the ball places it on the floor and swaps position with the person they are facing. Also, you can have inside scramble the players pass the ball to the outside man and then have to join another group and be their new inside man. The same applies for outside scramble but they pass to the inside man and then join a new group. You can do all change when you put the ball on the floor and everyone change position but you`d have to see how they`d get on with the other instructions.
