Goal line/ruck defence drill.
This drill is to simulate the type of contact skills that are required in close quarters (goal line) defence. Each defender will practice contact against each piece of equipment then swap positions. Low heavy tackle bag is used to encourage correct contact from attacking pick play. Hit shields should be held low(below shoulders) to encourage correct target zone. Encourage communication before each contact phase - who is doing what? Option to vary spacing between equipment holders and gap between defenders and equipment.
