Rugby Drill Demonstration
|
Description
This is a progression of the team defence 1. Set up and run the drill the same way.
Once the defensive line is setup and the players are holding the line, the second coach moves one of the attacking players to the left
This is the signal for the defence to realign to the left. This is done by the D2 on the right moving behind the 2 D1s and pushing the left hand D2 over to become the left hand D3 etc
Remind the players that the D1s NEVER more
Once the players have realigned they call hold, hold until the ball is passed to the second coach
Have the coach alternate between moving left and right
Once the players have started realigning correctly, the coach can then get a second player to move over forcing a second realignment
