what tips would you give for a flanker aged 17
Brian
I used to be a flanker and I can tell you that you need to be fit and strong with an engine that keeps going! You need to practise ball handling skills as well as an awareness of where the ball is and even better where it will be during any game situation. You need to develop a clear understanding with your other flanker and No 8 so you operate as a team within a team.
I am not sure if you play 6 or 7 and there is a big difference between the two. Let me know which you are and I, or one of our coaches around the world, may be able to give you more specific advice!
