what active coaching games can i use to coach the ,iss pass to under 10's at a local rugby club
Mitchell
I would use small sided games (3 v 2) and encourage the players to make a miss pass by awarding 5 points for a try but 2 points every time they do a miss pass. If you ensure a wide grid is used to play the games in then the players should quickly see the opportunities to miss out the middle player.
You may need to let them try this small sided game first and then bring them in to see a miss pass demonstration by some players you have quietly coached already. Then they can go back into their 3 v 2 games and achieve success. I would suggest you keep swapping the defenders after a try has been scored.
I hope this helps.
