How to teach the spin pass to u12
To be honest I doubt they even need it, I was never taught it and still managed to pass successfully. Just focus on handling and parhaps a competition to see which pair can pass for the furthest distances apart without dropping and they should be fine.
I agree with Hannah%3A in U12s they don't need it and many end up concentrating too much on the spin and not enough on accuracy. In any case a good exercise is one-handed passing, which for a more able player will soon naturally lead to a correct spin pass and will help most players to acquire an improved action.
In general, teaching such advanced skills is a waste of time at this level and only distracts attention from the real issues of playing rugby. And if the players are particular advanced or able, they'll always pick up anything like this on their own.
