I have attached a very short video of a scrum half pass from our drills section. Aside from getting the lad to practice that important skill and box kicks I would get him to understand the difference in the roles of 10 and 9. Play small sided games where he has to make decisions on what best options are for 9. You could freeze play with a whistle and then discuss options with him and other teammates so all get used to the situations before a full game is played. I hope this helps. Simon
