establish principles of counter attack from a turnover all in contact
Adam
It is all in your Level 2 handbook!
Establish why counter attack ball is such a good opportunity and then think "Games sense" and you will be fine!
Simon
The Handbook doesnt really have that much in it for counterattack!
Think about the 2 quick passes to move the ball away from contact and the masses... think about the players getting quick realignement from defensive line and identifying the correct space to attack into.
Look at developing a Skill activity that requires the ball be moved quickly long a line but to progress add realignement into it.
Then may be challenge the principles as a lot of counterattacks are done "off the cuff"
Hope this helps
Field hockey coach here! I get my players to think about the 3 S'
Secure posession,
Safe pass away from the contact area
Shape (players not directly engaged regain offensive alignment)
Works for my lot!
