Hello to anyone reading this.I used to play as a tight head prop in high school but I've lost a significant amount of weight (currently 70 kilos) and I am only 170cm tall. I am currently 20 years old. I would really appreciate if anyone has any advice. Thanks
Hi Nicholas,
How's your passing skills? Sounds like you could be a good fit as a scrum-half who's able to quickly nip around the park from ruck to ruck.
Similarly, if you're relatively quick and have good footwork skills you could give winger a try. Cheslin Kolbe, one of the best wingers in the world right now, is marginally taller than you proving size doesn't always matter in rugby. My coach often reminds us of this quote as we often come up against bigger sides. It's not the size of the dog in the fight, it's the size of fight in the dog!
Hope this helps.
Archie
