Under 9 rugby tackling

Hi I'm moving up from under 8 to under 9 has any one got any advise or lesson plan on how to introduce tackling many thanks

Hi Ryan,

There are some great plans in the Sportplan Rugby plans. We recommend starting off making sure the players know exactly the right technique to tackle using tackle bags first before going into tackling opponents.

Ensure they appreciate the safety side of tackling and how to tackle properly. Then go and make sure they enjoy themselves!

Take a look at the drills section to get some great tackling ideas for beginners.
