What are the laws for U15 girls
Hi Tracy,
U-15's rugby should firstly be using a size 4 ball and the game should allow rolling substitutions.
A major rule is the outlawing of the technique 'Squeezeball' at this age group. 'Squeezeball' is a technique where players go to ground, head first and squeezing the ball close to their chest, pushing it back out through their legs. Teaching this technique at such an age is also not encouraged.
Their is no turnover law at the scrum, the put-in is given to the team which is in possession when the scrum wheels beyond 45 degrees.
Also, lineouts will be uncontested.
The link to the regulations for a more in depth look is below!
Hope this helps!
Uncontested lineout - means no catch n drive if you think about it. If the team catching the ball attempt to set up a maul, the lineout is still in progress, therefore the opposing team canât compete. So there is no maul but the team who attempted to set up the maul now have the ball at the back of A non existent maul and when they move in to contact the opposition they will have players in front of the ball carrier - penalty. Get the ball into the lineout and out to the backs.
