Lift leg in tackle
Vern
If you mean can a tackler lift the leg of a player in a maul then the answer is yes as long as it is not part of upending the player.
I hope this helps you
Simon
Mr Clark 'Hooking' a players leg in the tackle helps to unbalance him/her and assists in the process of driving him/her back, gaining momentum and taking him/her to ground. As a referee as well, I disagree with Simon as I believe that it is illegal to attempt to lift a player's leg in a maul as it would be deemed as trying to take him to ground and therefore collapsing the maul. PENALTY nad possible yellow card! Teifion
