I need to develop a session to introduce the side step. Any ideas of game situations? I have several drills (practices) but need the game. I would be grateful for any ideas.Cheers
Rob
Why not play a small sided, conditioned game where points are awarded for good sidesteps?
If a try is 5 points, a side step in attack could be worth an extra 1 point. You would have to ensure it was a successful sidestep and that it was relevant to the situation. This could be done once the basics of the skill have been mastered by the players and would encourage them to use the skill in a real life situation.
I hope this helps?
